Teads hires AOL’s Jonathan Nash for programmatic role

As it looks to expand its programmatic business, native video advertising company Teads has appointed Jonathan Nash as head of programmatic across both UK and international teams.

Nash joins Teads from AOL, where he has held various roles over the last six years – most recently as head of programmatic and head of video.

In his new role, Nash will be responsible for developing relationships with programmatic companies throughout the market.

The rapid growth of Teads globally has been phenomenal and I am eager to support it,” Nash said.

“With my previous experience working with publishers and clients across video, display and programmatic technology, I hope to drive the Teads business further forward by providing the best programmatic solutions for our clients and publishers alike.”

Programmatic spend reached £18.9 billion in 2015, according to eMarketer, with programmatic video revenue at Teads alone up 300% year on year in August.

Commenting on the appointment, Justin Taylor, UK MD at Teads, said: “We are committed to giving our clients the best mobile and programmatic video advertising experience and this means working with the best talent in the industry.

“With Jonathan’s considerable experience, we’re excited about being able to drive this forward throughout 2016.”
