Teletext To Showcase Content In Advertising Push

Teletext Teletext is to launch a new ad campaign to drive interest in its text services via Sky and Freeview, showcasing some of its most popular content and demonstrating the service’s modern look and feel.

Three 10 second adverts will launch from Monday, running until the end of August and showcasing Teletext’s ease of use and relevance across a variety of subject areas.

The first ad will focus on Teletext’s special World Cup coverage, while the following ads will centre on news, weather, share prices and lottery results.

Each film features an animated “whirlwind of text,” in keeping with recent advertising from the broadcaster (see Teletext Launches £6 Million Digital Push). The films will run nationally across all four ITV channels, as well as via Channel 4.

Ash Makkar, Teletext’s marketing director announced the promotional push stating: “This is the first time our editorial content has been given centre stage for a long time. The digital TV text service is a great looking service, that is modern and easy to use.

“Allowing the viewer to enjoy our text services alongside watching their TV programme on our new quarter screen TV moves us well beyond our analogue days. We’re very excited about our digital TV service and these films are testimony to our confidence in it.”
