The Apprentice Does It Again For BBC One

Sir Alan Last night’s edition of The Apprentice brought in 5.4 million adult viewers as Natalie was fired following poor sales in the art gallery task.

Sir Alan said he regretted having to fire her, but clearly not enough to save her from his wagging finger. An average of 4.9 million adults watched the kind-hearted lass get her marching orders.

As usual, Sir Alan was up against City Lights at 9pm on ITV1, where the hapless duo of Robson Green and Mark Benton once again found themselves in a bit of a kerfuffle.

The show, which had a peak audience of four million adults, featured a cameo from Gallic sex-bomb and ex-wizard of the dribble, David Ginola.

As if that wasn’t enough to keep telly-addicts feverishly switching channels, the dashing Kevin McCloud was working his Grand Designs magic over on Channel 4 at the same time.

In last night’s amazing edition, McCloud revisited Tony and Jo, the musicians who had a dream of living next to a loch in an unusual oak-framed house. An average of three million adults watched the entire episode to see if they would be successful.
