The article explains how the Virgin Media TiVo app for iPads has been ready for months but they haven’t been able to launch it as the TiVo box is not WiFi enabled. As such any users of the WiFi router would need to run a cable from the router to the TiVo box. This is fine if the router is near to your set top box, but for many the router is in a different room.
As the article explains, this means additional costs for consumers of more cable running in the house or purchasing dongles.
