Thinkbox And The Marketing Society In Strategic Partnership

Thinkbox Logo Thinkbox, the television marketing body for the UK commercial broadcasters, has announced a 15 month strategic partnership with The Marketing Society that will explore the issue of Effective Innovation.

The six components of the partnership aim to give the 2,500 members greater knowledge and confidence in all aspects of innovation, such as identifying market opportunities, managing corporate and personal risk, and measuring the success of innovation, alongside explaining the latest TV technologies and effective ways of using TV to drive business.

Thinkbox will create an ‘Effective Innovation’ section on the Marketing Society website where members will be able to access podcasts and TV clips of the master-classes and annual lectures.

Tess Alps, chief executive of Thinkbox, said: “We have been working with the Marketing Society to develop this Effective Innovation programme which will address topics that really matter to marketers. Product and service innovation is the best way of staying ahead of the competition, and the dynamic media landscape offers many new ways to communicate, particularly in TV. But understanding these, assessing their potential and analysing their success is an enormous challenge.

“I believe Thinkbox’s partnership with The Marketing Society will make a real contribution. And, of course, it is a great opportunity for Thinkbox to gain access to a unique group of key thinkers and decision makers in marketing to tell them the true story about what is happening in the growing commercial TV audience.”

Hugh Burkitt, chief executive, The Marketing Society, added: “We are delighted that Thinkbox have joined us as a strategic partner. In our Manifesto for Marketing we stressed that marketers need to be both “Business Innovators” and “Growth Drivers” and consequently Effective Innovation will be a key strand of our programme next year. Thinkbox will bring a valuable new perspective for our members.”
