Thinkbox Launches Televisionaries Blog

Thinkbox Logo Thinkbox, the television marketing body for the main UK commercial broadcasters, has launched a new ‘Televisionaries’ blog to help encourage informed debate around key issues in commercial TV and set the context and agenda before its Televisionaries event on 20 November.

The new blog at www.televisionaries.tv will enable users to keep up to date on the latest developments in commercial TV and to respond rapidly and publicly to breaking issues.

The new blog is intended to become a leading forum for discussion, debate, insight and inspiration about the future of TV; examining and forecasting the effects of its liberating technologies and offering opinion on the expanding opportunities for advertisers.

Tess Alps, chief executive of Thinkbox: ‘We’re not the first blog in the advertising industry, obviously, nor will we be the last, but we do hope to become one of the very best.

“We love giving our opinions so this blog is probably a bit overdue, but now is a great moment to launch it as the Televisionaries event approaches.

“We want to create a place where people can pop in and know they will find the latest thinking about the latest issues in commercial TV – be it how new technologies are expanding TV, our take on new research findings, or our response to what others are saying. People can agree or disagree with us so long as it helps create a grown-up, uncynical and forward-thinking debate.”
