Top Seven Ad Market Growth Forecasts To 2004, From Zenith Optimedia

The US and UK advertising industries are to show the lowest year on year decline of the top seven global markets in 2002, at -0.1% and -1.2% respectively, according to the latest growth forecasts from Zenith Optimedia.

The year on year growth figures are compiled from the gross revenue forecasts from Zenith, analysed in more depth on MediaTelINSIGHT Zenith Warns Of No Real Recovery Until 2004 In Global Ad Forecasts.

Moving into 2003, Italy is expected to show the strongest growth (2.8%), followed by France (2.5%) and the UK (2.1%). The US growth is expected to remain more muted next year, at 1.5%.

Stronger growth of 3.0%-plus overall is not anticipated until 2004, when the seven country total will be 3.6%, with Germany leading the way.
