The US and UK advertising industries are to show the lowest year on year decline of the top seven global markets in 2002, at -0.1% and -1.2% respectively, according to the latest growth forecasts from Zenith Optimedia.
Moving into 2003, Italy is expected to show the strongest growth (2.8%), followed by France (2.5%) and the UK (2.1%). The US growth is expected to remain more muted next year, at 1.5%.
Stronger growth of 3.0%-plus overall is not anticipated until 2004, when the seven country total will be 3.6%, with Germany leading the way.
