The TV App Agency is to launch a ‘payment solution’ that will allow consumers to make secure payments on their smart TVs.

With consumers’ purchasing habits fast becoming aligned with new technology, the ‘t-commerce’ payment allows consumers to buy goods or pay for services in any online or offline environment – from a cup of coffee to a video subscription, such as Netflix.

“Imagine a world where you can pay for a cup of coffee in your local shop and then pay for a video subscription service at home using the exact simple payment method,” said Bruno Pereira, TV App Agency.

Online shopping alone is set to grow by almost 50% in the next five years and be worth a total of £50 billion. To match changing e-commerce trends, the TV App Agency has developed a ‘solution’ that is “fast, convenient, and secure for smart TV, mobile and web.”

The payment facility has the ability to accept payment in 177 different currencies, 42 different payment methods and store user details.
