TV Overnights: X Factor results win 11.2m for ITV1

ITV1’s X Factor results show, which saw Misha B leave the competition, attracted a high of more than 11.2 million viewers last night.

The second of this weekend’s X Factor shows was followed by A Night with Beyonce, which pulled in almost 4 million peak viewers but settled on an average of 3.7 million average viewers and a 15% audience share between 9pm and 10pm.

In the afternoon, ITV1’s FA Cup 2nd Round coverage scored a high of 1.5 million peak viewers.

However, BBC One’s line-up secured most of the Sunday ratings – gaining a peak run between 4pm and 8pm, then again from 9.15pm onwards.

BBC’s Frozen Planet enjoyed a top audience rating of 3.4 million viewers. Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing banked 10.7 million peak viewers.

On Saturday, an even higher 11.3 million peak viewers tuned in to Strictly between 7pm and 8pm. The channel’s sports line-up also secured most of the daytime ratings.

However, ITV1’s The Chase picked up almost 4 million peak viewers in the 6pm to 7pm slot; The X Factor performance show walked away with 9.7 million viewers just before the 9pm watershed and the channel’s I’m a Celebrity final won a high of 8.9 million viewers in the traditional peak-hour slot.
