Following warnings from the ITC regarding regional programming (Newsline 22/3), and Ann Clwyd’s accusation that YTTTV plans to run down the north east as a broadcasting region Tyne Tees has announced a £1.5m investment plan to expand its news coverage. News will become more localised, with specific programmes for both the north and south parts of the Tyne Tees region.
