Broadband penetration in the US continued to grow during March and is expected to reach 50% of US internet users by July 2004, says telecoms giant, Comcast.
In March, 78.8% of US workers were reported as using a high-speed connection at work, up from 77.2% in February.
Canada’s broadband lead over the US shrank during the last year. US broadband penetration grew by 12.2% to 46%, while Canada grew by just 3% to 67%, over the same period.
The report says that Canada broadband penetration may be reaching a saturation point like Korea did when it reached 70%.
