US Q4 Online Sales To Grow By 27%, Says comScore

US online sales of non-travel-related products will reach $13.8 billion in value, according a new forecast from comScore. This would represent a growth of 27% over Q4 2001, according to the company’s historical data.

The group predicts that the holiday season’s spending will begin in earnest in the US on Monday 2 December, when consumers return to work and are able to use their companies’ high-speed internet access. Research from comScore shows that around twice as many purchases are made via work PCs than from home computers.
