ValueClick Secures British Airways For Marketing Drive

Media and technology group ValueClick has been appointed by British Airways to build a privately branded affiliate marketing programme.
ValueClick’s Be Free group has been charged with strengthening British Airway’s online presence through its pay for performance network of travel related site in order to maximise revenues.
Through utilising Be Free technology British Airways will implement its own custom built affiliate marketing channel to manage and grow relationships with existing publisher websites. Be Free will also track and report on all online transactions generated through the affiliate marketing programme.
Commenting on the partnership, Ben Moss, e-business development manager at British Airways holidays, said: “Our decision was based on the knowledge that Be Free has excellent affiliate marketing experience and has already proven its ability to deliver for other divisions within British Airways.”
He continued: “We are confident that working with Be Free offers the most flexible solution for effectively managing and measuring marketing activity through a private network of online publishers.”
Alison Guise, technology sales director at ValueClick, added: “This deal highlights how Be Free has built excellent experience and credibility in the UK travel sector. We understand the importance of providing a more customised solution that addresses a clients specific technology requirements.”
Earlier last week ValueClick poached DoubleClick’s director of account management, Vanessa Kent, to take up the role of corporate development director (see ValueClick Appoints New Corporate Development Head).
