Virgin Media’s Electric! Goes Digital

Virgin Media Logo Redwood has announced the launch of a digital format for Electric!, the bi-monthly entertainment magazine for Virgin Media customers.

The digital edition of Electric!, Virgin Media’s entertainment magazine for 18 to 55-year-olds, aims to bridge the gap between the print magazine, website and regular Electric! email newsletters sent to customers.

The e-zine will be created using the Ceros platform enabling readers to flick through the product with a page-turning effect, watch trailers and video clips, participate in interactive polls, quizzes and games, download content to their desktop or email it to friends.

The digital version of the magazine, launching in October 2008, is a complementary product to the print title and will be emailed to over one million Virgin Media customers wanting to be kept up-to-date with news and developments.

The digital magazine – which will offer our pages of advertising space in each issue – will also give new readers the opportunity to subscribe to the print version of Electric!.

Ashley Stockwell, Virgin Media’s managing director of change, said: “We’ve built Electric!‘s readership with entertaining and engaging news and features on the latest films, TV shows, music and celebrity, plus useful and relevant information on our entertainment and communications services.

Our customers are really enjoying the magazine and the new digital version will allow us to make the experience online and interactive, whilst continuing to strengthen their connection with Virgin Media.”

Electric! won Best Overall Creative Solution and Best Designed Consumer Magazine at the 2008 APA Creative Awards.
