Vodafone To Launch Premium Broadband Service

Vodafone To Launch Premium Broadband Service

Vodafone Logo Vodafone is launching its nationwide broadband service next Monday which will give Vodafone consumer contract customers 8MB broadband access for £25 a month.

BT will provide the infrastructure to enable the mobile phone company to roll out its Vodafone At Home service.

Vodafone is the latest mobile company to offer a broadband service, with 02 also set to launch theirs later this year (see O2 To Offer Broadband Service Next Year).

The Vodafone offering is at the top of the broadband price scale, with several other provider’s services coming in at a cheaper price, which clearly signals Vodafone’s intention to position itself at the quality end of the market.

When announcing the service in November, Tim Yates, director of Vodafone UK’s Consumer Business Unit, said: “By working with BT we will be providing a market-leading mix of quality, value and service.

“Vodafone at Home will provide nationwide broadband coverage from day one, as well as offering the flexibility and convenience of going wireless at home and being able to access the internet on laptops when out of the home on Vodafone’s 3G broadband network.”
