The start of WAGs’ Boutique lured just 334,000 adults on average to ITV2 last night, giving the channel a 2% viewing share of the multi-channel television network, despite a considerable marketing push.
London freesheet thelondonpaper, which has a circulation of 410,000, was yesterday wrapped in a full colour advert for the programme, designed to look like a real cover for the paper. The show was also promoted on flagship ITV1, as well as other channels on the network.
The start of the seventh series of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation proved a huge hit for Five between 9pm and 11pm. The double bill attracted around 3.5 million adults to the channel for each programme, giving Five a 15.5% and a 20% audience share respectively.
The second last episode of BBC One’s new week-long drama, Five Days, was watched by almost 5.8 million adults in the 9pm to 10pm slot, giving the channel a 25.6% audience share at the time, whilst ITV1’s You Don’t Know You Were Born – its Who Do You Think You Are? equivalent – gained almost three million viewers.
The show centred around comedian and actor Alan Davies, who traced the working lives of two of his great-grandfathers – prosperous men who followed very different routes to success in Victorian England – giving ITV1 an average audience share of 13.3% at the time.
