Weve announced today that it has now integrated Vodafone into its mobile advertising and commerce platform. In what is a significant step for the company, it will now operate and trade across its three shareholders’ customer bases, adding millions of new opted-in users to the existing audience built by EE and O2.
Weve now gives brands access to 15 million opted-in consumers – a quarter of the entire UK population – and expects that number to grow significantly as the platform evolves with new media and transactional services over the course of 2013.
“Weve is already up and running, but with the integration of Vodafone we acquire the critical mass needed to become a serious mobile marketing force,” said Nancy Cruickshank, Launch CEO.
“We want to move the conversation and reframe the debate on mobile, not just a platform for one-off campaigns, but the launching point for the ground breaking, innovative and long-term campaigns of the future. Our aim is to ensure mobile is a mainstream media channel and a successful part of the media mix.”
Weve is now actively offering a core set of products and services to its customers, including location based messaging, app discovery messaging, targeted push SMS and video messaging. Many additional products are in development and include areas such as display advertising, wallet services focused on loyalty, vouchers, payments, and data analysis.
Weve can now build upon some of the richest resources of knowledge and insight around mobile engagement and usage in the UK. The company “intelligently analyses” anonymised first-party opted-in customer data to produce insight that will create one of the industry’s most intelligent mobile advertising and m-commerce platforms.
Newsline will host an exclusive video interview with Nancy Cruickshank next week.
