Nikki Williams will become the new managing director of Nielsen Media Research UK, whilst four further appointments have been made in the company.
Williams, who has been at NMR UK for 16 years, will oversee all aspects of the business, continuing the company’s ongoing strategic focus on client service and business growth.
“Nikki’s 16 years of experience in this business have earned her enormous respect from clients and staff,” said Charles Fulton, managing director, International AIS, Nielsen Media Research.
“In our business, it is difficult to replace knowledge that has accumulated over many years. During the course of Nikki’s career she has watched our business grow from delivering monthly printed reports on business-to-business press to real time electronic alerts across thousands of channels covering all media sources.”
Other internal promotions include Karen Daniels-Smith, who has been appointed operations director; Nigel Birch now becomes commercial director; Layla Forster will take over as development director; and John Hughes will assume the role of chief technology officer.
“Over the past few years, we have been successful in developing and attracting key talent into management positions in the company, creating ideal candidates for promotion into more senior positions as they become available,” Fulton said. “I’m particularly proud of our new management team and I look forward to together enjoying much success.”
