Capital Radio has bought Greater Manchester’s Big AM analogue and digital licences from the Wireless Group for £250,000.
The licences will be rebranded as Capital Gold, increasing the potential audience of the Capital Gold Network from 15.8 million to 18.1 million adults. The deal builds Capital Radio’s presence in the ‘lucrative’ North West region.
The Wireless Group has transferred the ownership of the Big AM licences to a new company with no other assets or liabilities and it is this company that Capital has acquired.
