Yahoo has announced that it will be joining the likes of Netflix and Amazon and running two original television series on its website and mobile app.
The move marks Yahoo’s first steps into the digital video market, and will see the company launch two comedy series titled Other Space and Sin City Saints, which will be available on Apple TV and Roku.
In a statement, Yahoo’s chief marketing officer, Kathy Savitt, said that Yahoo is continuing to build its library with “universally loved comedy” such as Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central.
