The UK’s national newspapers online offerings saw mixed results in the latest data release from ABC. The MailOnline maintains its dominance while the Mirror Group Digital and The Sun saw a steady 1.6% and 0.1% increase respectively.
The Independent took the biggest hit during June, a month which saw the European Championship finals and the lead up to the 2012 London Olympics – with its unique browsers figure down by over 100,000 (14.3%). The Telegraph‘s site dipped by 7.1% month on month compared with May, with over 178,975 less unique browsers.
The Guardian.co.uk fell very slightly, less than 1% compared to May, and still has a healthy 3.3 million daily average unique browser figure. The main player continues to be MailOnline with its mix of current news and sport with a hefty slice of celebrity/gossip news bringing in almost six million unique browsers per month.
