A Grand Prix winner will also be announced during the ceremony on 12 March.

Chaired by Graham Lovelace, the nominees were placed in the safe hands of a number of hand-picked media experts.

Greg Grimmer, Newsline columnist and consultant, Mark Cross, senior partner of Equal, Richard Marks, director of Research the Media, Stacey Anklam, managing director of Wolverine Consulting, and Simon Gauntlett, technology director for Digital Television Group, carefully judged each of the nominees and chose one winner per category, before deciding on the overall Grand Prix winner.

Lovelace, director of convergent media specialist Lovelace Consulting, said judges were impressed with the high quality of entries.

“We had a bumper crop of entrants this year from right across the industry,” said Lovelace. “It all made for some interesting debates in the judging room!”

The awards will take place at Nomura after an unmissable two day event – the annual Connected Consumer Conference – that this year is set to focus on consumer relationships with technologies, platforms and brands – as well as taking a look at the business models of the big broadcast and broadband players and associated data and metrics.

At the inaugural 2013 event, Virgin Media picked up the award for Best Campaign as well as being named Grand Prix winner for its work with HTC One on TiVo. Ross Robertson, group controller of Virgin Media, said it was “great to get recognition” for one of the first big campaigns on TiVo.
