SpotXchange appoints Leon Siotis as MD, UK and Southern Europe

Video advertising platform SpotXchange is appointing Leon Siotis as managing director, UK and Southern Europe. Joining from BrightRoll, Siotis will start in July with responsibility to grow SpotXchange’s business in the region.

Siotis brings nine years of digital advertising experience from companies including BrightRoll – which was acquired by Yahoo last year – Rubicon Project, MySpace and AOL’s Advertising.com. He joined BrightRoll in 2011 and helped build the team and client portfolio on the buy and sell-side.

Prior to that, he worked with demand-side platforms and agencies across EMEA at Rubicon Project to monetise display inventory on Europe’s leading publishers, including launching programmatic buying across the region.

At SpotXchange, Siotis will work with publishers and broadcasters in the UK and Southern Europe to help them manage their video inventory and maximise advertising revenue.

“Programmatic video is the fastest growing area of advertising,” said Siotis. “The industry has made incredible progress over the past five years, but it is still in its infancy with huge potential for growth.

“I’ve witnessed lots of innovation on both the buy and sell-side and SpotX is at the forefront of this, leading the market around the world in developing software to help broadcasters and publishers manage their video and mobile video inventory now, and their programmatic TV inventory in the future.

“I’m excited to work with industry-leading clients, grow the team, and build the business across the UK and France, Spain, Italy and Turkey.”
