TV market round-up: July 2015

With the exception of Channel 4, the majority of commercial broadcasters saw revenues take a significant tumble in July; however, total satellite revenue was up by almost a fifth.

C4 increased revenue by 17.8% year on year to surpass £40 million, while ITV 1 and Channel 5 were down -5.9% and -11.3%, respectively.

ITV Breakfast increased revenue by a minute 0.3%, adding £10,000 to last year’s figure, meaning that total terrestrial channels, including ITV Breakfast, were down -0.8% overall to £142.2 million.

In contrast, total satellite channels were up a healthy 18.3% to reach a little over £120.4 million.
