Microsoft UK CEO joins WPP board

Cindy Rose OBE is to join the board of WPP as a non-executive director as the holding company seeks to boost its tech credentials.

Rose became Microsoft UK CEO in 2016 after a stint as managing director of the UK consumer division at Vodafone. She has also worked in senior roles at Virgin Media and The Walt Disney Company and sits on the board of Informa, a FTSE 100 academic publishing and events company, as an independent non-executive director.

Her appointment at WPP will be effective from 1 April 2019 and she will serve as a member of the Audit Committee.
