Mediatel is pleased to announced that Nick Manning will be joining our editorial line-up, delivering a monthly column discussing some of the biggest issues facing media and advertising.

Manning is one of the most recognisable names in our industry, famed for co-founding Manning Gottlieb Media (MGM) in 1990 – which was ultimately sold to Omnicom seven years later.

His long and varied career also includes: co-founding OPera, the media and negotiation arm for OMD and PHD with billings of £1 billion; serving as CEO of OMD in the UK; and acting as chief strategy officer at Ebiquity for over a decade.

Most recently, Manning was senior vice president at Ascential’s strategic advisory firm MediaLink, a role he left earlier this month in order to launch his own mentoring business, Encyclomedia.

Manning is another excellent addition to Mediatel’s growing team of experienced and insightful writers, the second addition of the year following Jan Gooding in January.

His columns will land mid-month and will feature in our weekly Media Leaders newsletter – so if readers wish to be notified when a new column arrives, sign up to our email bulletins here.

As with everything on Mediatel News, it will be completely free to read. But if you want to support us, then join us for one of our conferences this year.

Manning’s first article will be published this Wednesday.
