TSB’s CMO named ISBA vice president

Pete Markey, the chief marketing officer of TSB, has been named the new vice president of advertising trade body, ISBA.

Markey will join existing vice president Sarah Mansfield and support Elizabeth Fagan, ISBA’s president. His role will include overseeing the governance of ISBA and advising on strategic direction and leading the ISBA council in Fagan’s absence.

As the marketing boss for one of the UK’s leading challenger banks, Markey is responsible for all brand and marketing communications. He previously held director level roles at Aviva, Post Office, RSA Group and MORE TH>N. He has has also worked in British Gas, the AA and One.Tel in a range of marketing roles.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on this role at such a pivotal time for the advertising industry,” said Markey.

“ISBA has a vital role to play in the industry and its future evolution and I’m excited to be stepping into the Vice President role and working more closely with Elizabeth, Phil and the team.”

Fagan, the former MD of Boots who now acts its chairman, added: “Pete brings a wealth of experience which will greatly benefit ISBA as we work to shape our future with our industry partners and government, at a time of significant change within advertising and communications.
