Rapper and music producer Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has agreed in principle to buy far-Right social media platform Parler from Parlement Technologies.
The self-promoted “pioneering uncancelable free-speech platform” was founded in September 2018 and has become notorious for harboring far-Right conspiracy theories such as QAnon, as well as antisemitic hate speech.
Last week, Ye’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were blocked after he made antisemitic remarks on the platforms.
Under the terms of their agreement, Ye and Parlement Technologies intend to enter into a definitive purchase agreement and expect to close during Q4 2022.
