MegaPoster Unveils Euro 2004 Giant Billboard Portfolio
MegaPoster UK has become the first giant outdoor poster contractor to unveil a sales pack for the forthcoming European Football Championships, which take place in Portugal this summer.
The company has put together a portfolio of eleven prime sites in some of the UK’s major football cities including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle and Nottingham.
The campaign offers advertisers to opportunity to target hard to reach males aged between 15 and 34. MegaPoster claims the cities selected provide on average 8% more of this audience than the UK as a whole.
Commenting on the initiative, Ian Bohn, sales and marketing director of MegaPoster UK, said: “We are expecting great interest from the many advertising sectors that target this audience. It has already been shown that giant posters are a very effective medium for reaching younger males.
He added: “Audi’s decision last year to divert some of its television budget to giant posters was just one more example of advertisers recognising the impact delivered by our format.”
The Euro 2004 portfolio is intended to provide massive coverage and standout, with poster sizes ranging from 112 square metres to 520 square metres and average monthly traffic for individual sites varying from 720,000 to 2.2 million.
MegaPoster is also planning to tailor the campaigns to the specific requirements of advertisers and will diverge from the two or four week campaign periods. The Euro 2004 pack will be split into two time lengths, offering a three-week campaign or the full campaign covering the five weeks including the build-up to the tournament, which runs from 12 June to 4 July.
Last year MegaPoster unveiled a new outdoor banner site in London, which will completely wrap the Cochrane Theatre for the duration of its two year refurbishment. The company secured mobile phone brand O2 as the site’s first advertiser (see MegaPoster Launches New London Ad Site).
