J-ET Expands With AMS Media Group Signing

AMS Media Group has become the seventeenth London-based agency to subscribe to J-ET, the UK radio industry’s online trading system which handles over 80% of all national radio revenue, and is used by all the major radio companies.

J-ET is owned by the Institute Of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and the Commercial Radio Companies Association (CRCA) and operated by MediaTel Group.

Frank Lyons, media director at AMS Media Group said: “The benefits and value of the J-ET system should not be under-estimated. Making radio more accountable and less time consuming can only be positive. More time to produce better quality planning and thought through strategies, and less time spent battling though a file of fax papers for me every time.”

MediaTel Group launched J-ET outside of London last summer, and there are now four agencies across Manchester and Leeds, as well as radio group sites in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham and the Channel Islands using the service (see J-ET Launches On Schedule In Manchester And Leeds).

Commenting on the deal, Katie Grist, J-ET Business Manager said: “J-ET carries the bulk of national spend already, by we still feel that there is opportunity for the service to extend its client base further amongst the agency community in London and the regions.”

J-ET clients can send and receive electronic briefs and proposals, and store these on the system, access detailed online post campaign accountability and transfer information directly in and out of any J-ET approved radio planning system. The product is supported round the clock by MediaTel Group’s client service team.
