Redesigned Evening Standard To Launch Next Week

Evening Standard Cover The Evening Standard is to roll out a redesigned edition next week, with a “more stylish” use of colour throughout the title intended to attract more affluent, working Londoners.

The redesign will come into effect on Monday, forming part of the title’s “evolution not revolution” towards offering its readers more of what they love from the news, city, review and classified pages of the paper.

The Evening Standard now has the opportunity to use colour on each page, and plans to as “stylish tints” to its content, while being careful to accentuate its strengths and avoid alienating its core readership.

A range of promotions are planned for the new format’s first month, with prize giveaways and price promotion days seeing the title cost 20p, backed by event stands with merchandisers at the Liverpool Street, Victoria and Paddington stations.

In an announcement to advertisers, the paper announced that the new-look would “reflect the modernity of the product,” with “sharper, snappier, brighter, bolder and more colourful” content. “These changes are designed to both enhance pleasure for existing readers and grow our audience further,” the title said.
