BBC Strong With Olympics Proving Popular

Winter Olympics The BBC delivered a ratings blitz last night, with BBC One’s Life On Mars continuing its winning streak, watched by just under 6 million adults, while BBC Two’s Winter Olympics secured third place behind ITV1 with almost 3.9 million.

The Olympic ratings are made all the more impressive by their consistent performance against ITV1’s Coronation Street and Northern Lights, which scored average adults audiences of 9 million and 5.3 million respectively.

Elsewhere, Channel 4’s Bodyshock documentary told the jaw-dropping story of Manar Maged, an Egyptian girl born with two heads, attracting an average adult audience of 2.9 million.

Five’s Prison Break continued to top the broadcaster’s Monday night line-up, meanwhile, as 1.4 million adults tuned in to see the increasingly ridiculous jail drama unfold.
