Scotsman To Launch Major Ad Campaign

Scotsman.com Logo The Scotsman will this weekend launch a £250,000 advertising campaign promoting record audience figures.

Although the newspaper’s year on year print sales dropped by almost 10% in the February ABCs, to 59,092, the title is celebrating its audience beating the four million mark for the first time in its illustrious history.

The four million mark was bettered after The Scotsman combined its print sales with unique online users and page impressions, following its January ABCe audit.

The campaign begins on Scottish TV on Sunday 15 April and will be followed by a print campaign in the Scotsman, alongside online and outdoor ads.

The campaign creative was devised by IAS Smarts whilst media buying has been handled by Feather Brookbank.

Michael Johnston, managing director of The Scotsman, said: “These are exciting times for us because we’re seeing that the appetite for the Scottish news is greater than ever. Our print and online combination allows us to reach more people than ever before.

“At over 3.8 million monthly unique users and 217,000 readers each day we are generating phenomenal audience and offering advertisers unrivalled reach.”
