The Local Radio Company sells Hastings and Eastbourne stations

The Local Radio Company has sold Arrow FM in Hastings and Sovereign Radio in Eastbourne.

The stations, which have combined net liabilities of £1.7 million and £100,000, sold the stations to radio company Media Sound Holdings.

Arrow FM has an audience of 21,000 listeners according to the RAJAR figures for Q1 2009. In the eight months ended 31 May 2009 the station had a turnover of £221,998 and an operating loss of £118,167, with net liabilities of £950,358.

Sovereign Radio has an audience of 26,000 listeners, with a turnover of £309,208 to the end of May. It reported an operating loss of £85,905 for the period with net liabilities of £765,435.
