US Mobile Data Sector Set To Boom

Mobile data services are still in their infancy in the US but a new report from The Yankee Group predicts that there will be more than 23 million subscribers by the end of the year.

The research company estimates that wireless data revenue growth will increase at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 89% over five years. By 2006, there are forecasted to be more than 128 million mobile data users generating almost $6 billion in revenue.
