ABC December 2012: The Independent sees solid growth

The Independent online has seen a good level of growth for December 2012 according to the latest data from ABC.

With a 13.8% increase on the previous month, the website bagged an extra 117,590 unique daily browsers, bringing its total up to 970,899.

The Mirror online saw reasonable growth of 7.8% but still remains bottom of the pile with an average 797,155 unique daily browsers.

Meanwhile, other competing sites saw some moderate declines. The Guardian was down -7.1% on November (-279,345) while the Telegraph was down -5.7% (168,389).

The Sun and the Mail online meanwhile saw little change – +0.1% and -1%, respectively.

The Mail still leads overall, however, with a huge 7 million+ daily unique browsers, followed by the guardian.co.uk at 3.68 million and the Telegraph with 2.8 million.
