Aegis Trading In Line With Expectations

Aegis has announced that its trading for 2006 has continued to perform in line with its expectations, with organic revenue growth accelerating slightly since the first six months of the year.

Aegis Media EMEA continues to trade well, with a slight pick-up in adspend in France and Germany. Aegis Media UK is performing well in spite of softer market conditions.

Aegis said that after a record first half for net new business, Aegis Media has continued to deliver a strong list of wins. New business won in the second half includes Alliance & Leicester in the UK; pan-European appointments for General Motors and Tommy Hilfiger; Cadbury’s in Mexico; and P&G in the Philippines. It added that its 2006 wins will help to underpin a further year of good revenue growth in 2007.

Towards the end of November, Vincent Bollore again failed in his bid to win two seats on Aegis’ board, with 94.2% of the votes not controlled by Bollore cast against his nominees (see Bollore Fails Again In Aegis Board Bid).
