Ageing Cops Continue To Shine

New Tricks BBC One’s New Tricks did as well as ever last night, luring a peak audience of 8.8 million adults with its gripping blend of crime and intrigue.

The show, featuring ex-Minder star Dennis Waterman, had an average audience of 8.4 million adults (a 38.4% share) throughout its hour long running time.

ITV1’s offering of Greatest Britons 2007 was no match for BBC One’s ageing cops, picking up a peak of 3.1 million adults.

Perhaps it was no surprise that the show performed as it did, when its list of nominees including Robbie Williams. On air from 9pm until 10.30pm, the show kept an average audience of 2.7 million people enthralled to the very end.

On BBC One at 7pm, the calm tranquility of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show managed to attract a peak of 3.5 million adults to its hour long slot.

The show moved over to BBC Two at 8pm, where it had a peak of 3 million adult viewers and a respectable average of 2.7 million adults.

Overnight data is available each morning in mediatel.co.uk’s TV Database, with all BARB registered subscribers able to view reports for terrestrial networks, ITV2 and Sky One.
