Airey Leaves Iostar

Airey Leaves Iostar

Dawn Airey Dawn Airey, ex-boss of Channel Five and Sky, has left her job as chief executive at Iostar after just one week.

Airey apparently left after one week owing to concerns about the company’s financial arrangements.

Iostar’s board includes the former UKTV chief executive Dick Emery, actor Stephen Fry, ex-European chair of media buying group Zenith Tim Wootton, and Stephen Cook, the former director of strategy at Flextech.

According to sources, Airey was assured that funding would be in place by the time she took up her position but, two days into her job, funding was still not secured.

It was announced in December that Airey would be leaving Sky in March to join Iostar, having spent over four years as managing director of channels and services (see Dawn Airey To Leave Sky).

Iostar’s aim is to create a new model for media companies and combine production, distribution, talent and rights.
