AOL Time Warner Reports Record Revenues

AOL Time Warner, the business created by the huge merger of internet company AOL and traditional media group Time Warner, has this morning unveiled record results for the America Online business. The group said that advertising, commerce and other revenues grew by 65% to £$741 million in the quarter to December 2000. The combined AOL Time Warner proforma results showed revenues up 11% to $36.2 billion and earnings and adjusted EBITDA up 19% to $8.4 billion.

Jerry Levin, AOL Time Warner’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “These record results underscore the strong momentum that AOL Time Warner’s businesses bring into the merged company. AOL Time Warner’s current businesses are generating substantial growth and will benefit from the cross-company initiatives and transformational opportunities already underway.”
