Bailey’s Sticks With The A-List

Baileys Bailey’s Irish Cream has signed to continue to be the official sponsor of the UK’s adult contemporary chart, The A-List.

The chart, which commenced in March 2006, is presented by Gail Porter and Nick Snaith and airs on Sundays between 4-7pm across 62 stations, including Chrysalis Radio’s Heart FM Network and GMG Radio’s Century and Real Radio Networks.

The four-month, half a million pound sponsorship extension, negotiated by Carat Sponsorship for Bailey’s and managed by GCap Media, will run from 22 April until the Summer, to coincide with Baileys’ marketing year end.

The A-List chart show is aimed at a 25-45-year-old audience, with a combination of lifestyle chat, high profile interviews with celebrities from the world of film, TV and music, weekly entertainment news and adult contemporary music. The A-List is managed by hit40uk Ltd and produced by UBC Media.

“We’re very pleased to be extending our partnership with The A-List,” said Rowena Johnson, sponsorship manager at Carat. “The past 12 months have been a phenomenal success for the show and the fact that Bailey’s was on-board from the launch has proved to be an invaluable asset to both brands.

“We’ve built a good relationship with the team at GCap and we’re looking forward to continuing to develop new ideas and content for the show.”

Kirk Vallis, head of network sales, added: “Everything about this partnership has been a success so far; from having Bailey’s on board since day one to help shape the very essence of the show, to the audience increases we have achieved since launch and the fantastic research and consumption results we have seen for Bailey’s as a result of them sponsoring the show and brand.

“We have put in place new initiatives and features with Bailey’s to ensure year two provides even more interaction and entertainment between Bailey’s and its target consumers.”
