Bollore Calls Aegis Shareholder Meeting

Aegis has been asked to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting by Vincent Bollore, who wants two seats on the Aegis board.

Aegis said that the shareholder meeting has been called to consider the election of Philippe Germond and Roger Hatchuel to the Aegis board.

Germond (ex-president of French mobile firm Alcatel) and Hatchuel (former owner of the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival) were Bollore’s candidates for the board at the company’s AGM in June but were voted against by shareholders (see ITV Welcomes Ofcom’s Public Service Proposals).

Aegis said that the shareholder meeting will be convened in due course, however it is unlikely that it will occurr before November.
