Deliciously Ella founder joins speakers for MAD//Fest London

Entrepreneur, best-selling author and influencer Ella Mills is the latest headline speaker to confirm for MAD//Fest London this November.

Deliciously Ella started as a food blog six years ago when, frustrated by “old school vegetarianism”, Mills took it upon herself to experiment with plant-based recipes.

Fast forward to 2018 and the Deliciously Ella empire now encompasses best selling books, an app, a delicatessen, and products stocked in more than 6,000 UK supermarkets.

Mills, who has 1.3 million Instagram followers, successfully disrupted the ‘free from’ aisle and used owned media to take on marketing budget-rich food juggernauts; at MAD//Fest, she will share her vision on how others can also use social media and innovative content to disrupt categories and create meaningful brands.

“Social media is an amazing free marketing tool and was instrumental in accelerating our brand and disrupting the healthy food aisle,” said Mills.

“I’m really excited to be sharing our vision at MAD//Fest and meeting other brands who value creativity, purpose and innovation.”

Backed by Mediatel, MAD//Fest London will feature 2,000+ brands, agencies, media owners and disruptors, as well as 100+ leaders on-stage from firms including Uber, Facebook, Google, VICE, Diageo, Monzo and Missguided.

Mills will join main stage keynotes including futurist Shivvy Jervis and Sarah Wood OBE, founder of Unruly Media.

“Ella’s use innovation and creativity to drive disruption and create a purposeful brand encapsulates what’s exciting about marketing and what to expect at MAD//Fest London,” said Dan Brain, the event’s co-founder and content director.

“It’s a story to draw inspiration from as we craft a sociable, vibrant and unconventional experience that’s more fun and effective than the plethora of formulaic trade shows.”

MAD//Fest London will take place on 28-29 November at The Old Truman Brewery, London; for further information, click here.

Mill’s latest book, The Plant-Based Cookbook, is out this week.
