Disney Channel Signs IPTV Deal With Tiscali

The Disney Channel has signed an IPTV deal to supply its three Disney branded channels – Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and Disney Cinemagic – to Tiscali TV subscribers.

As of this month, Disney Channel Playhouse Disney will be available as part of Tiscali TV’s Kids Pack and the family channel Disney Cinemagic will be a stand alone premium subscription channel.

Tiscali TV subscribers will have the opportunity to view Disney Channel programmes such as the live action series Hannah Montana and Disney Channel Original Movies, including the double Emmy award-winning High School Musical.

For this reason we are excited to be announcing this IPTV deal with Tiscali, to provide Disney Channels to more children and families.”

Tiscali TV launched in March following its acquisition of Homechoice’s IPTV service last summer. Tiscali says its TV offering will be available to over 10 million UK homes by the end of 2007 (see Tiscali Turns Homechoice Into Tiscali TV).
