Doubleclick, the internet marketing solutions company has announced that quarter one figures have reached $68 million, up from $60.8 million for the same period last year.

The group reported a growth across all product groups and this puts it well on-track to achieve record profits in 2004. Kevin Ryan, CEO said: “We saw significant year-over-year increases in revenue, gross margins, operating margins, net income, and EBITDA”.

Net income for the most recent quarter was $7.7 million, compared with $0.9 million in the first quarter of 2003. The company achieved gross margins of 66.8% during the quarter compared to 63.5% year-over-year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation was $14.6 million compared to $11.5 million for the same period last year.

The year-over-year improvements stem primarily from new client wins and existing customers using more DoubleClick products, the group said. Since the beginning of the year, DoubleClick has signed over 40 new contracts globally with customers to use its ad management solutions.

Looking forward, it is expecting second quarter revenues to be between $70 million and $74 million. Financial officer, Bruce Dalziel said: “We are off to a great start in 2004. We are on track to more than double our earnings in 2004 while achieving robust revenue growth across all of our product groups.”
