FHM Boosts Style Content With Dedicated Online Channel

Emap’s flagship men’s magazine FHM has announced the creation of an online style channel, providing the 2 million daily visitors to its website with the latest fashion and grooming advice to comprise what it claims is the “ultimate style guide to life.”

The new section creates a bespoke editorial strand, featuring recommendations and expert advice on style choices each month. The channel will also give readers the low down on the most stylish travel destinations, fashion, hardware, gadgets, grooming and places to go out.

The style channel has been developed to extend the website’s existing fashion and style content, as well as to make shopping easy for for users. The channel will offer a run down of its Ten Best products, including the ten best cocktails, the ten best MP3 players and the ten best bars during the launch month of December.

Commenting on the new channel, Gary Broughton, acting editor of FHM.com said: “We know that style is important to FHM.com users, 77% of whom shop on-line. The Style Channel builds on FHM.com’s unique ‘fun, sexy, useful’ formula and aims to help users negotiate the finer choices in life in an innovative and entertaining way. At the same time, we are offering users expert advice and unique product information, from the watch that you wear, the cocktail that you order, to the beach you relax on.”

The new venture will be sponsored by Sony’s Cyber Shot range of digital cameras throughout December and follows a major revamp for the website in January which saw FHM partner with numerous well-known brands to sponsor its various topical online channels (see FHM Nets Major Advertisers For Website Relaunch).
