Final Panellist Confirmed for ‘Future of TV’ Seminar

MediaTel Group Logo Ford Ennals, chief executive of Digital UK, is the final panellist to be confirmed for MediaTel Group’s ‘Future of TV’ seminar to be held in two week’s time.

Ennals joined Digital UK in April 2005 having previously held senior positions in the private sector for major corporations with responsibility for marketing, customer service and change programmes. Digital UK is the independent, non-profit organisation leading the UK’s move to digital television.

Ennals joins Rahul Chakkara, controller of BBCi, Clare Salmon, marketing director at ITV; Jim Marshall, chairman of Starcom UK and journalist Ray Snoddy on the panel, with Torin Douglas, media correspondent of the BBC as chairman.

This latest seminar in the series hosted by MediaTel Group will look at topics affecting the future of the TV industry. The panel will discuss whether a ‘strong ITV’ is still a reality; the impact of new technologies, including IPTV, mobile TV and VoD; whether PVR fears are over-stated; the impact of the new BBC charter on commercial TV and whether BARB’s Future Into View is on the right track. All subjects are open to debate from the audience.

The seminar will be held on Wednesday 27th September at One Great George Street, London from 9.30am. Tickets cost just £115 + VAT and can be bought online at seminars.mediatelgroup.co.uk. Two MediaTel INSIGHT Executive Reports accompany the seminar – Digital TV and TV Technology – and can be bought with the seminars tickets for £175 each or £300 for both reports.
