Forever Broadcasting Development ‘Continues Unabated’

The development UK radio group Forever Broadcasting is ‘continuing unabated’, chairman John Josephs told the company’s AGM this morning. Forever owns three radio stations: 107.6 Juice in Liverpool, formerly known as Crash FM; Tower FM, which serves audiences in Manchester, Bury and Bolton and Surf FM in Brighton. It has also submitted two further applications for regional digital multiplex licences in the North West and West Midlands in joint ventures with Scottish Radio Holdings and Saga Radio. The group will also apply for an analogue regional licence in South and West Yorkshire next week.

Forever has started the rebranding of Surf FM as Juice and has already strengthened the management team and presenter lineup. “We continue to develop and train our sales forces. In all three locations, Liverpool, Bolton and Brighton, our stations are relatively young and historic revenues have been low. We believe we are making substantial progress and that our ability to grow revenue in these markets as our audiences build will not be unduly affected by macro-economic conditions,” said Josephs.

The company says that in line with strategy it will continue to search for appropriate acquisition opportunities.

At 2:30pm today stock in Forever Broadcasting was unchanged at 210p.
