According to the FIPP/Zenith World Magazine Trends 2000/2001 report, Global ad spend, which has been rising steadily since 1994, is set to increase by 5-6% annually until 2002.

In 1999, the total global adspend figure for magazines was $40bn which was a 6% increase on 1998.
