Handscomb Returns To IPC As Ad Director

IPC Logo IPC advertising has announced the appointment of Dan Handscomb as ad director for IPC Innovator, marking the media boss’s return to the group after taking the position of group business development manager with Haymarket Publishing.

The new role will see Handscomb reporting to Neil Perkin, ad director for marketing and strategy within the new look group advertising structure.

Commenting on the appointment, Caroline McDevitt, group advertising director at IPC, said: “I’m delighted to appoint Dan to this important role within IPC group advertising. He is a highly talented and extremely enthusiastic sales person who is well networked throughout the agency world.”

McDevitt continued: “Dan’s knowledge of both IPC Media in general and Innovator in particular will be a great advantage, and will enable him to really hit the ground running when he joins us next week.”

Handscomb will take up the role from 18 July. He added: “I am extremely happy to be rejoining IPC Media especially as I feel this is an extremely exciting time, not only for Innovator, but also for IPC as a whole. I am thoroughly looking forward to working with some old friends and also building relationships with new clients.”

Last month saw IPC reshuffle its group advertising management, creating two new senior directorships to unite the strategic and trading units of the company (see IPC Reshuffles Ad Management For Greater Unity).

The new roles, of ad director for marketing and strategy, and ad director for trading, will report directly to Caroline McDevitt and mark the first significant changes since the group advertising director joined IPC in May (see IPC Picks McDevitt For Group Ad Director Role).
